Cape-it-up!

Hello all you wonderful people and thank you for visiting my blog! 🙂

I’ve been back from Goa for over a week and still can’t get over that feeling of lounging on the beach… sipping on Kings and staring at endless blue sea!

That’s why I’ve been keeping these posts coming slowly… one-by-one… so that each time I write about Goa, I can have my little moments of escaping back onto the beach and into the water! 😉

This look is something different from what I usually do… I wore this on the day when I didn’t  wanna jump into the water, and instead just wanted to lounge around on the beach. The most interesting thing for me about this look is that it’s almost entirely curated off the local streets in Palolem, Goa (barring a few things that I already had).. And the entire look cost me only INR1500 (except the silver accessories)… which is pretty insane considering how amazing and stylish the outfit looks!

About this look:

Now I think capes and flowy wide-leg pants, make for the most easy-breezy bohemian look… (love the way the cape and the pants flutter in the wind almost as if urging you to fly…)

Black on the beach makes for a rather bold statement… especially in the day… while white gives it the casual & carefree innocence. I decided to funk it up and add a boho quotient to it with some colourful accessories!

I wore my colourful beaded bracelet as an anklet and for my hair, my friend Shilpa, braided  it using this long ‘curtain rope’ as a hair accessory. 😉

I also wore a single silver earring in my right ear, coz I didn’t want the left earring to steal the focus off my braid 😀

This look, in fact, is great for not just lounging around on the beach… but also for the beach parties, the rain-dances or just going around shopping in Goa!

Details of the outfit:

– White wrap-around wide leg pants + Black singlet:  Off the street in Palolem (150/- + 200/-)

– Colourful beaded bracelet (worn as an anklet) and curtain rope (braided in my hair) : An Englishwoman’s store in the Palolem market (150/- + 100/-)
– Black and white maxi cape : Colaba causway (600/-)
– Hat and Sunglasses: Off the street in Palolem (150/- + 150/-)
– Neckalce, ring and silver earring: Some from my older collection, and some borrowed from Shilpa 😀

Hope you like the pics and let them inspire you! Cheers!
